Make-Up Favorites and Dupes

It's been so long since I've sat down and even tried to blog. I have had zero inspiration to write anything, and I also started college along with my high school. So, life has been BUSY! With that being said, I am gonna try my best to make time for blogging! It's something I love to do, and definitely love all the feedback from kind people. :)

In today's blog, I'm gonna be doing something a little different than my usual devotional type post. I have had so many people ask me to do my favorite beauty products and hair products and other things like that. SOOOO, today I will be sharing with y'all my favorite makeup products and dupes. I'll be honest...I'm not one who can bring myself to paying a ton of money for makeup, but I do love it! So, of course I'm the one walking around in Ulta for an hour trying to find the best dupe for a certain "expensive" product. Also, don't watch the YouTube videos...they will cause you to go broke haha! The products I'll be sharing are very inexpensive, and work very well! Most of these products you can buy at Ulta or Walmart. Hope this helps! :)

1. Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer

I absolutely LOVE this stuff! It doesn't give your face that caked up look that a lot of foundations do. It makes it smooth and natural looking. Not to mention it's a foundation AND concealer in one...so that saves you money! I get mine from Belk, but they also sale it at Ulta and Sephora. This is the highest priced product that I use, but it's totally worth it!

2. Revolution Starlight Liquid Illuminator

I'm one of those girls who goes HIGHLIGHT CRAZY...My little sister always tells me I have a lot of glitter on my face!! I first found out about this amazing stuff by seeing people use the Farsali and I fell in love. But, I didn't want to pay $20-$54 for it! So, me being the cheap person I am, searched for a dupe. Walmart had one for $11.00 and I think it was the Revlon brand...not too sure! So I waited, and went to Ulta! And y'all let me just tell you the BEST benefit of this dupe. It's ONLY $9, and has .61 Fl oz in it. For the 1 oz bottle of Farsali, it's $54!!! You may not be getting the same amount of product, but in the long run it's a better choice if you're cheap and BROKE!!

3.  NYC Bronzer

I use the shade 720A Sunny in this, but I want to go a little darker with it. All in all this bronzer is great! It's the dupe for the hoola bronzer. For the Hoola brand you pay $15-$29, but you can get the NYC brand on Amazon for about $7! It works just as good, and lasts so long.

4. Revolution Redemption Eyeshadow palette Iconic 3

Okay, WOW!! I have had this same palette for almost two years now. I've only purchased one other since then, but I always resort back to this one. It is most definitely my favorite and so affordable. This is the crazy cheap dupe for the Naked 3 palette. You pay $7 instead of $54 for basically the same color eye shadows, and they work so well! Revolution has EASILY become my favorite brand.

5. Loreal Voluminous Mascara

Last but MOST DEFINITELY not least, my favorite mascara! I tried about 4 different mascaras before I found this one, and it has won first place! I get mine at Walmart for only $5.84. Very affordable and great quality. Like any mascara, it gets clumpy after a few months...If anyone knows the cure for this, PLEASE let me know!!!

Thank you SO much for reading! I hope some of you found this to Somewhat helpful. :)

Dare To Be a Deborah

Hey Y'all! It's been a few weeks since I last blogged, and I am SO SORRY!! With the Holidays rolling around it's been pretty busy. These past few weeks I've been studying about a woman named Deborah from the book of Judges. Some may know who I'm talking about, and some may not. My Pastor has been going through the book of Judges on Wednesday nights, and I absolutely love it! A few weeks ago we got to the story of Deborah and Barak. I had already been thinking about doing a study on a woman in the Bible, and then God told me she was my woman! So, I read, studied, and researched, and now I'm gonna share with y'all what God gave me.      If you know anything about the book of Judges, you know it's all about Israel's  up and down life of serving the Lord. One day they wanted to do right, and the next they were right back to sinning. So, God raised up these Judges to lead them. In chapter 4, God raises up a woman Judge named Deborah. Just like always, I...

Praise Him With Your Whole Heart

So, this blog is probably gonna be a bit scattered just because this has been on my heart for the past couple of weeks, and I just couldn't find the words to say. But, after pondering on it for a while, and doing some research, I think I can finally sit down and write up a blog for y'all! On my phone I have the "Bible by Tecarta" app, and it notifies each morning with a daily Bible verse. A couple weeks back I woke up to Mark 7:20-23 , and God quickly laid it on my heart to read that whole chapter. So, I did, and wow. It's one of those moments where you know you've been praying for something, and God just finally shows you what to do, or how to fix it. Anyone else know how that feels? When I came to verse 6, I began to cry. It says: "He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrisies, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me." I'd recently been praying for God to help...

The Truth Behind the Smile

This blog is gonna be a little honest. I'm actually kind of afraid to type all I've been thinking and publish it because of the feedback it may receive, but here goes. Before I get started, be aware of the fact that I'm not seeking attention through this. I'm writing all of this to say to the girl who's so insecure, you're not the only one. Maybe some of you are saying "Tatum, insecure?". Trust me no one gets it because I seem "so happy". It's not just insecurity though, it's that feeling of never being good enough. Please take the time to read this if you feel that way. Even if you don't struggle with that problem, please still take the time to understand someone that does.       I haven't always been this way. I guess you could say it started with being told that the way I talk was funny. Seems small to you, right? Not to me. It didn't help that I was laughed at, but the people saying it didn't see that side of th...
