Don't Worry, Be Happy

Hey y'all!! Today I'll be sharing with you some reasons why I absolutely love my life. If you don't love your life, I'm gonna tell you just exactly how to change that. You've got some MAJOR problems if you don't, so let's talk about it.

What is life? The Bible says it's a vapour that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away (James 4:14). So, being that we don't have too much time on this earth, how should we spend it? So many people today say that true happiness is found by chasing your dreams. I'm sorry to "bust your bubble", but this is in NO WAY true. Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, and so many others chased after their dreams, and look where it got them. On the outside they seemed so happy, but in reality, they were missing something. They were missing the key to true happiness, JESUS! The world chases after happiness in all the wrong ways, searching for something to fill that great void inside. Many look to drugs, alcohol, fornication etc.. It NEVER works! They wake up the next morning, still missing something, still feeling empty. I really hope this isn't you! If it is, Jesus is a prayer away, and EVERYDAY is a wonderful day to be saved. Don't chase dreams, chase Jesus! So many people are looking for love in all the wrong places, not finding it. Accepting Him is the best decision you will EVER make!

This August was my 10th birthday of salvation! WOW! I cannot believe I've been saved for 10 years. It's been the best 10 years of my life. I'm not gonna lie though, I've been back and forth so many times. Living in a world so full of temptation, it can be discouraging not "fitting" in with the "popular" crowd. I have come to realize, I AM a part of the popular crowd, actually the most popular crowd there is. I am a part of the wealthiest family ever, and the King of Kings is my Father! I don't need the world and all of it's "pleasures". Realizing this will give you so much joy everyday! Jesus CANNOT come back fast enough. I'm so ready to leave so I can tell him face to face "God, thank you so much for sending your son for me!" It just makes me beyond happy to imagine what Heaven will be like. I mean, no one can fathom it, because it's gonna be THAT BEAUTIFUL! Just imagine sitting in his lap, singing amazing GRACE! I just want to cry every time I think about it! Being this happy makes me want to share it with the world, and that's exactly what us as Christians should do! If the whole World could just feel what saved people feel, EVERYBODY would be saved.

Being in church your whole life makes it just a normal "routine". Sunday, let's go to church. Wednesday, let's go to church. Don't make church this way! To me personally, church is so exciting. I love dressing my best for God, and learning His word. Church gives me spiritual encouragement, and strength to keep going. God also gives us a church to have godly friends in a World where it's so hard to find them. I don't know about you, but my friends make me happy. It feels so good to have friends that want to talk about how good God is with you. The Bible says a merry heart doeth good like a medicine (Proverbs 17:22) It seems like every time I'm around my church family, we have a good laugh, or two, or twenty! haha! I have the best friends, parents, pastor, and pastors wife a girl could ever ask for! And, that makes me happy.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is, living a saved life is the only thing to make you truly happy. Stop searching for happiness and love in all the wrong places! Accept Jesus as your personal saviour today! As always, it is THE BEST LIFE ever! Thank's for reading :) - Tatum

Dare To Be a Deborah

Hey Y'all! It's been a few weeks since I last blogged, and I am SO SORRY!! With the Holidays rolling around it's been pretty busy. These past few weeks I've been studying about a woman named Deborah from the book of Judges. Some may know who I'm talking about, and some may not. My Pastor has been going through the book of Judges on Wednesday nights, and I absolutely love it! A few weeks ago we got to the story of Deborah and Barak. I had already been thinking about doing a study on a woman in the Bible, and then God told me she was my woman! So, I read, studied, and researched, and now I'm gonna share with y'all what God gave me.      If you know anything about the book of Judges, you know it's all about Israel's  up and down life of serving the Lord. One day they wanted to do right, and the next they were right back to sinning. So, God raised up these Judges to lead them. In chapter 4, God raises up a woman Judge named Deborah. Just like always, I...

A Worship that Pleases God

Ask yourself: Do I spend time worshiping enough? Is my life truly pleasing the Lord? How do I know I really love the Lord with all that is in me? On today's blog I am gonna share with y'all what God has shown me recently. I just love when God works in my life, but, in order to continue living for him how I should, it's gonna take a great deal more than just rushing through my morning chapter, and a quick prayer everyday. I hope, with Gods help, that I can be a help with y'all in this area!      The first question I said to ask yourself was: Do I spend time worshiping enough? Worship is certainly not meant JUST for church! We should worship God in our everyday lives. If you only worship the Lord on Sundays and Wednesdays, that's your first problem. To keep that good relationship and fellowship with God, you need to maintain a worshiping lifestyle. I heard someone say, It's so much easier to live a christian life if you get saved! This could be true in your life...

Praise Him With Your Whole Heart

So, this blog is probably gonna be a bit scattered just because this has been on my heart for the past couple of weeks, and I just couldn't find the words to say. But, after pondering on it for a while, and doing some research, I think I can finally sit down and write up a blog for y'all! On my phone I have the "Bible by Tecarta" app, and it notifies each morning with a daily Bible verse. A couple weeks back I woke up to Mark 7:20-23 , and God quickly laid it on my heart to read that whole chapter. So, I did, and wow. It's one of those moments where you know you've been praying for something, and God just finally shows you what to do, or how to fix it. Anyone else know how that feels? When I came to verse 6, I began to cry. It says: "He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrisies, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me." I'd recently been praying for God to help...
