Getting to know Me!

Hey Y'all! I'm Tatum, and this is my blog, 'Magnolia Belle'. Born and raised in North Carolina, I've always had a desire to share my Southern lifestyle with others. So, a little about me: I'm 19 years old. I love singing and writing. God blessed me with an ear for music. I love sharing my style. Modesty is the best policy. Give me Italian food for the rest of my life, and I'll be satisfied! I am currently in my second year of college, but still, have no idea "what I wanna be when I grow up". Photography is a big part of my life, and I love doing it. I have the best parents in the World, a crazy sister, and two brothers. Family means everything to me. As for the name of my blog, "Magnolia Belle", the magnolia is my favourite flower because number one they're common among southern women, and number two they represent nobility and dignity in a lady. Most people describe me as being classy by how I dress and act, and that is where the name belle came from! I am as girly as girly gets y'all, but I also ain't afraid to get my hands dirty either! Welcome to Tatum's world :)

Before You Find the "Love of Your Life"

I agree that we are a little broken at some point in time. There is not a human on this earth who has not faced some kind of heart-wrenching situation. But, how do we handle this? How do we restore true joy, happiness, and hope? Some people search for it in friends; Others may try to stay busy to keep their mind off of reality; Or, if you are like me, you continue to search for all of these things in a "significant other". Countless relationships end in disaster because we try to fill the void in our life with human help, instead of godly help. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though! I am still learning, I know, but I have dealt with toxic relationships. I have dealt with trying to find safety in someone other than God. It is so unhealthy! So, let's talk about it... Dare To Be a Deborah

Hey Y'all! It's been a few weeks since I last blogged, and I am SO SORRY!! With the Holidays rolling around it's been pretty busy. These past few weeks I've been studying about a woman named Deborah from the book of Judges. Some may know who I'm talking about, and some may not. My Pastor has been going through the book of Judges on Wednesday nights, and I absolutely love it! A few weeks ago we got to the story of Deborah and Barak. I had already been thinking about doing a study on a woman in the Bible, and then God told me she was my woman! So, I read, studied, and researched, and now I'm gonna share with y'all what God gave me. If you know anything about the book of Judges, you know it's all about Israel's up and down life of serving the Lord. One day they wanted to do right, and the next they were right back to sinning. A Worship that Pleases God

Ask yourself: Do I spend time worshiping enough? Is my life truly pleasing the Lord? How do I know I really love the Lord with all that is in me? On today's blog I am gonna share with y'all what God has shown me recently. I just love when God works in my life, but, in order to continue living for him how I should, it's gonna take a great deal more than just rushing through my morning chapter, and a quick prayer everyday. I hope, with Gods help, that I can be a help with y'all in this area! The first question I said to ask yourself was: Do I spend time worshiping enough? Worship is certainly not meant JUST for church! We should worship God in our everyday lives. If you only worship the Lord on Sundays and Wednesdays, that's your first problem.
