A Worship that Pleases God

Ask yourself: Do I spend time worshiping enough? Is my life truly pleasing the Lord? How do I know I really love the Lord with all that is in me? On today's blog I am gonna share with y'all what God has shown me recently. I just love when God works in my life, but, in order to continue living for him how I should, it's gonna take a great deal more than just rushing through my morning chapter, and a quick prayer everyday. I hope, with Gods help, that I can be a help with y'all in this area!

The first question I said to ask yourself was: Do I spend time worshiping enough? Worship is certainly not meant JUST for church! We should worship God in our everyday lives. If you only worship the Lord on Sundays and Wednesdays, that's your first problem. To keep that good relationship and fellowship with God, you need to maintain a worshiping lifestyle. I heard someone say, It's so much easier to live a christian life if you get saved! This could be true in your life! If you have no desire outside of church to worship God and spend time with him, you may want to check on your salvation status. But, that may not always be the case. It could just be that you've slipped away from what's right. It's so easy for Satan to blind us of our "little" sins that could become something EVEN BIGGER (Song of Solomon 2:15), and we truly think we're doing everything right. So, how do we spend enough time worshiping? 1. Read God's word, and TAKE YOUR TIME. Don't rush through. Study it! If you don't exactly understand a verse or word, get a dictionary and take time to figure it out. (2 Timothy 2:15) 2. Have a CONSISTENT prayer life. Make a prayer list each month. Pray for your relationship with God to grow, and ask him to help you love him more!

Second, I told you to ask yourself if your life was truly pleasing to the Lord. How do we know for sure that we are pleasing the Lord with our life? I personally ask the Lord each day in my morning prayer to help me to make the right decisions, and show me when I'm wrong. God will definitely tell you when you're doing wrong. That's why we have a conscience! Make sure you cross out the very obvious though, like: Music, worldly friends, places you shouldn't be, etc.. You know what it is. That will help you to grow into the christian GOD wants you to be. And, by the way, to be a christian means to be "Christ like". We as "Christians" have no right to call ourselves by that name if we're not gonna at least try to be Christ like. It's all up to you; whether you want to please the Lord with your life, or not.

My third and last question was: How do I know I really love the Lord with all that is in me? We can all say we love the Lord, but be blind to the fact that we really DON'T! I recently started praying that God would show me how to love him through his word. I have realized that it is the very fact that although I have him in my heart, and his word, and have the opportunity to go before his throne in prayer, I take it all for granted. So, I began to be more thankful for him and all he's provided for me. I can now truly say that I love the Lord with everything that is in me, and I know he loves me just as much! No, God doesn't choose favorites, but I sure feel like I am! When you begin to see things in this way, it will change your whole perspective on your Christian life. To love God, and give him your whole life is ALL he wants from us! That's all he asks of us; something so easy to do, since he has given us eternal life for free! So, will you choose to make some life changes, or continue to do what would please Satan and ruin your life?

I hope someone really did make some changes in their life today! I wanted to help someone come back to the ONLY thing that makes life so full of joy! It truly is THE BEST LIFE EVER! Thanks for reading! - Tatum

  1. Wow, this really did impact me and convicted me of my own walk with the Lord. Thank you SO much!! I know I have the desire to please and honor God and I say it, but lately I know my heart has been faltering and needs to be convicted of how great God is by spending genuine time with God in prayer and in His Word. Thank you so much for your encouragement to me to do just that and honor the Lord with my life. You're a blessing!!

Dare To Be a Deborah

Hey Y'all! It's been a few weeks since I last blogged, and I am SO SORRY!! With the Holidays rolling around it's been pretty busy. These past few weeks I've been studying about a woman named Deborah from the book of Judges. Some may know who I'm talking about, and some may not. My Pastor has been going through the book of Judges on Wednesday nights, and I absolutely love it! A few weeks ago we got to the story of Deborah and Barak. I had already been thinking about doing a study on a woman in the Bible, and then God told me she was my woman! So, I read, studied, and researched, and now I'm gonna share with y'all what God gave me.      If you know anything about the book of Judges, you know it's all about Israel's  up and down life of serving the Lord. One day they wanted to do right, and the next they were right back to sinning. So, God raised up these Judges to lead them. In chapter 4, God raises up a woman Judge named Deborah. Just like always, I...

Praise Him With Your Whole Heart

So, this blog is probably gonna be a bit scattered just because this has been on my heart for the past couple of weeks, and I just couldn't find the words to say. But, after pondering on it for a while, and doing some research, I think I can finally sit down and write up a blog for y'all! On my phone I have the "Bible by Tecarta" app, and it notifies each morning with a daily Bible verse. A couple weeks back I woke up to Mark 7:20-23 , and God quickly laid it on my heart to read that whole chapter. So, I did, and wow. It's one of those moments where you know you've been praying for something, and God just finally shows you what to do, or how to fix it. Anyone else know how that feels? When I came to verse 6, I began to cry. It says: "He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrisies, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me." I'd recently been praying for God to help...
