Modesty: More Than Just Your Clothing

Ask yourself, what is modesty? I for one believe it is much more than just a dress code. Although, that is a major factor in being modest. Yes, I wear pants. Yes, I wear shorts. I see absolutely nothing wrong with them, as long as they are pleasing to the Lord. But, I want to share what God gave me about modesty. I didn't realize until recently, that it has much more meaning to it than clothing.      So, there are two definitions to modesty according to google. 1) The quality or state of being unassuming or moderate in the estimation of ones abilities. And 2) Behavior, Manner, or Appearance intended to avoid impropriety or indecency. To begin "unassuming" means to not be arrogant or conceited. (Jer.9:23;Pro.26:12) If there is anything Christians are so prone to be, it is prideful. I honestly cannot stand to be around a braggart. It's like torture. If you've done something, say gave money to someone in need, DO NOT tell everyone. Keep it between you ...

Road Trip! (What God Done For Me)

So to start off this blog post, I'd like to first say, God is good!! I recently went to Bama for a youth revival, and it was the greatest weekend 2017 has had to offer so far. I seen God working in many lives, and even my own life. There were a few saved and thank you Lord for that. But today I'd like to tell everyone my experience.      In one of my recent blogs I told everyone about some guy trouble I had a few months ago. Man it hit me hard. I've never shed so many unnecessary tears, or even cried alone in my closet at night. Yes, as girls we think this will be the biggest problem we will ever have. Let me say, it's not. I promise. This past weekend God really pressured me about it, and yes the guy that broke me was there. But seeing him happy with the decision that was made, made me come to the realization that God didn't want it and I had to accept it. Although it was Friday night, and I still didn't want to stop trying. That night a lady told us...

My School Experience

School. The most annoying word to hear on a Monday morning after a great weekend, or any day at that. And just when you think you're free, there's after life to high school...college. What can you do about it you ask, absolutely nothing. Maybe cry alone at night like the rest of us, but other than that, there's NO escape.     Lets start with the Elementary years. If you were like me, all you cared about were boys, boys, boys, and what you were gonna eat after school. Yes I was a chubby bunny in my Elementary years. I never really worried about my school work yet NEVER failed. Fifth grade was probably the best year I ever had (Elementary wise). The playground was lit, my friends were hilarious, the chicken nuggets in the cafeteria were amazing, and not to mention I was beginning to become less socially awkward. Then came Middle School....     Drama, drama, drama. You think Elementary drama is bad, there is nothing worse than an 11 year old girl being jealous ...
